For the first time, the three Olympic zones in Beijing have achieved 100% green electricity supply, and the Zhangbei and Shangyi wind farms in Hebei province, which supply wind power, are on standby. Before the meeting, the wind power Division of CRRC Zhuzhou Institute overhauled the wind turbines of the two wind farms to ensure the high quality and efficient operation of the units. Located in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, CRRC Wind Power Hebei Zhangbei Wind Farm has installed 78 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 285,000 kW and an annual on-grid electricity of 780 million KWH. Shangyi Wind Farm is located in Shangyi County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, with 30 wind turbines installed with an installed capacity of 100,000 kW and an annual on-grid power of 330 million KWH. The person in charge of CRRC Zhuzhou said that it will promote energy conservation, emission reduction and low-carbon development with its technology and manufacturing core strength, help realize the full green electricity supply of Beijing Winter Olympics venues, and push forward the national carbon peak and carbon neutral goals.
