On April 28, China Resources Power released its 2021 Sustainable Development report. The report is the 12th annual sustainable development report of the company, which systematically disclosed the concepts, actions and achievements of China Resources Power in the environmental, social and governance aspects in the past year, and was comprehensively assessed as the highest rating of "Five-star Best (model)" by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The company reported three consecutive years of "five good" rating.

In 2021, China Resources Power seized the development opportunities under the goal of carbon peak carbon neutrality, comprehensively promoted green transformation, and strive to build a world-class clean energy enterprise with global competitiveness. The installed capacity of renewable energy increased from 4,535 MW in 2015 to 15,441 MW in 2021, an increase of 240.5%. In 2021, the company actively promoted the construction of offshore wind power, the company's first domestic offshore wind power project Cangnan 1 was started; China has actively promoted carbon capture, utilization and storage technology. It has built the third largest multi-thread and multi-technology carbon dioxide capture technology test platform based on ultra-supercritical thermal power plant in the world and the first in Asia, capturing 22,000 tons of carbon dioxide in total. In 2021, China Resources Power actively assumed the responsibility of energy supply guarantee. By establishing special class of energy supply guarantee and signing the coal contract of long association, China Resources Power paid close attention to the safe and efficient operation of equipment, continuously fulfilled the responsibility of supply guarantee and served the overall development of people's livelihood. The company earnestly implements the measures of epidemic prevention, electricity protection and heat protection, closely follows the policy requirements, gives full play to its own advantages, and assists with materials to overcome the difficulties. It has recruited 933 employees through various online and offline channels, and created employment opportunities for nearly 10,000 migrant workers by promoting the upstream and downstream industries.

In 2021, in order to actively respond to the national rural revitalization strategy, the company continuously explored new paths for rural revitalization by building power plants, setting up joint ventures, supporting local industries and other ways to promote sustainable development of economically weak areas. The company's project of "Exploring a new model of wind power poverty alleviation and Creating a new model of Rural Revitalization" was selected as an ESG excellent case.
