The inaugural meeting of the "Sustainable Market Initiative" China Council was held on August 22. Vice Premier Hu Chunhua of the State Council and British Crown Prince Charles delivered video speeches respectively. LONGi Green Energy attended the meeting and joined the "Sustainable Market Initiative" China Council and became the founding director unit.

The inaugural meeting was held online and offline, including the inauguration ceremony, round table and other links. Chinese and foreign companies conducted exchanges and discussions on sustainable development issues such as carbon finance, green and low-carbon transformation, and further gathered the wisdom and strength of all parties to jointly promote the "green recovery" of the world economy.

The "Sustainable Markets Initiative" was proposed and led by the British Crown Prince Charles at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos, aiming to unite global forces to jointly address climate change, protect biodiversity and achieve sustainable development. With the support of the World Economic Forum, Prince Charles established the Global Council of the Sustainable Markets Initiative in June 2019, while the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) is responsible for organizing Chinese companies to participate in the preparation of the China Council for the Sustainable Markets Initiative.

The establishment of the "Sustainable Market Initiative" China Council will build an international high-end platform for Chinese enterprises represented by LONGi to participate in the coordination and cooperation in the field of global sustainable development, and promote the Chinese business community to make a "Chinese voice" in the reform of global economic and environmental governance and put forward the “China Plan”.

As the world's leading solar technology company, LONGi has successively joined RE100, EP100, EV100, and Scientific Carbon Goals in 2020, becoming the only Chinese company to join the four international initiatives at the same time. In 2021, the company will use 40.19% of renewable electricity throughout the year, install energy management systems in 8 of its 28 production sites, and increase energy utilization efficiency by 53.85% compared with 2015. With reference to the scientific carbon goal, the company has set a 2030 annual emission reduction targets. 可持续市场倡议”中国理事会成立大会于8月22日举办。国务院副总理胡春华、英国王储查尔斯分别发表视频致辞，隆基绿能出席大会并加入“可持续市场倡议”中国理事会，成为创始理事单位。

成立大会以线上线下结合的方式举行，包括成立仪式、圆桌会等环节。中外企业围绕碳金融、绿色低碳转型等可持续发展议题展开交流研讨，进一步凝聚各方携手推动世界经济“绿色复苏”的智慧和力量。

“可持续市场倡议”由英国王储查尔斯在2020年达沃斯世界经济论坛上提出并牵头推进，旨在联合全球力量共同应对气候变化，保护生物多样性，实现可持续发展。在世界经济论坛的支持下，查尔斯王储于2019年6月建立“可持续市场倡议”全球理事会，而中国贸促会则负责牵头组织中国企业参与筹建“可持续市场倡议”中国理事会。

“可持续市场倡议”中国理事会的成立，将为以隆基为代表的中国企业参与全球可持续发展领域协调合作搭建国际高端平台，推动中国工商界在全球经济与环境治理变革中发出“中国声音”、提出“中国方案”。
