On October 30, CATL and VinFast announced the signing of a memorandum of Understanding on global strategic cooperation. The two sides will carry out cooperation on CIIC (CATL Integrated Intelligent Chassis) skateboard chassis and other projects.

According to the agreement, based on the existing cooperation of CTP (High Efficiency Group) products, Ningde Times and VinFast will explore various forms of cooperation in the CIIC skateboard chassis, to help VinFast quickly open the global market.

It is understood that the CIIC skateboard chassis integrates the battery pack, motor and other key components in the bottom of the vehicle, which can reduce the purchase cost and save energy, while expanding the riding space.

In addition to CTP products and skateboard chassis, Ningde Times will also seek cooperation with VinFast in other areas to jointly promote electric transformation. The advanced battery products of Ningde Times will help VinFast electric vehicles reach a new level in terms of range, safety and intelligent driving. The cooperation will also help Ningde Times improve its global layout, explore emerging markets and promote the application of new technologies.

VinFast, a member of the country's largest private sector VinGroup, is the first Vietnamese automaker to enter the global market and the first to produce electric cars and scooters, according to data.
