Recently, China Iron and Steel Industry Association held the launching meeting of the three-year action plan for energy efficiency benchmarking in the iron and steel industry, at which Shagang was awarded "Double Carbon Best Practice Energy Efficiency Benchmarking Demonstration Plant Cultivating Enterprises".

It is understood that the cultivation of "Double Carbon Best Practice Energy Efficiency Benchmarking Demonstration Plant" of China Iron and Steel Industry Association aims to give full play to the leading role of energy efficiency benchmarking demonstration plant of excellent enterprises in the industry, to promote the energy efficiency of the iron and steel industry to reach the benchmarking level in an orderly manner, and to further improve the working mechanism of energy saving, carbon reduction and efficiency enhancement of iron and steel enterprises. The unit consumption of iron and steel products and the total energy consumption decreased significantly. Through the cultivation of "double-carbon best practice energy efficiency benchmarking demonstration plant", the iron and steel industry strives to achieve the energy efficiency benchmarking level of 80 million tons to 100 million tons in 2023, 150 million tons to 200 million tons in 2024 and 200 million t ons to 300 million tons in 2025.

Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets. In recent years, Shagang has deeply implemented Xi Jinping's thought of ecological civilization and the major strategic deployment of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, actively established the Carbon Neutrality Management Committee and related working organizations, formulated the "double carbon" timetable and action roadmap. By paying close attention to the optimization of process flow, product structure, energy structure, energy efficiency, recycling and the proportion of green products, and low-carbon technology research and development, Shagang truly realizes the source carbon reduction, the whole process carbon reduction, and the "green" background color of enterprise development is more and more bright. Shagang has been awarded the honorary titles of National Energy Efficiency Four-Star Enterprise, national metallurgical industry "Clean Production and Environmental Friendly Enterprise", energy efficiency "Leader" in key energy-using industries, "Jiangsu Green Factory" and Jiangsu Low Carbon Economy Demonstration Enterprise.

日前，中国钢铁工业协会召开钢铁行业能效标杆三年行动方案启动会，会上，沙钢被授予“双碳最佳实践能效标杆示范厂培育企业”。

据了解，中国钢铁工业协会“双碳最佳实践能效标杆示范厂”培育工作旨在发挥行业优秀企业能效标杆示范厂引领作用，有序推动钢铁行业能效达到标杆水平，促使钢铁企业节能减碳增效工作机制进一步完善，节能减碳增效工作力度和水平显著提升，钢铁产品单耗和能源总耗明显下降。通过“双碳最佳实践能效标杆示范厂”培育，钢铁行业力争实现2023年0.8亿吨～1.0亿吨、2024年1.5亿吨～2.0亿吨、2025年2.0亿吨～3.0亿吨钢铁产能达到能效标杆水平。
