Huawei has now jointly innovated with the grid and customers, and through simulation in provinces such as Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Qinghai, and Sichuan, has verified the capability of grid-forming storage equivalent to synchronous condensers, obtained grid-connection approval opinions, and completed grid-connection tests and commercial operation in multiple projects. Grid-forming storage now possesses the technical conditions and commercial foundation equivalent to synchronous condensers plus grid-following storage, moving from innovative practice into a new stage of large-scale commercialization.

In the Philippines' world-largest optical-storage mega-base project, Huawei achieved 7-day-ahead and 24-hour-ahead planned-curve reporting through real-time prediction of weather and optical-storage operating status, with an accuracy exceeding 96%. Through self-developed high-speed communication and control chips enabling optical-storage coordination, the power control deviation at the grid-connection point is below 1%, achieving 100% green-power transmission, providing a benchmark practice for the future large-scale construction of 100% clean-energy mega-bases.

At the event, Zhou Tao launched the all-new string-type grid-forming PCS solution, including the all-new string-type grid-forming PCS 430kW, intelligent subarray controller, intelligent power plant controller, and intelligent power plant management system. Huawei will open up its core capabilities in the power-electronics field and related products, and work with industry partners to jointly create the optimal grid-side storage solution, promoting grid-forming technology and the string-type dual-stage architecture as industry mainstream.

The all-new string-type grid-forming PCS, relying on leading power semiconductor technology, pioneers a 1000V PCS AC system with a single-unit power of 430kW; features the industry's widest DC voltage operating range of 550V to 1500V, supporting different types of cells such as LFP and sodium-ion; and achieves a leapfrog breakthrough in system cycle efficiency, from the industry's 96.7% to 97.8%, an increase of 1.1%, ranking first in the industry.
