Under the agreement, Guocen High-tech and JEMSE will jointly build a battery-grade lithium carbonate refinery in the Free trade zone of Argentina's Huhui Province. JEMSE will provide exploration and mining rights for potential lithium resources with an exploration area of approximately 17,000 hectares to ensure resource supply. The two sides will also carry out cooperation in downstream business of lithium battery industry, including cathode materials and battery manufacturing, and jointly explore European and American markets.

国轩高科5月9日晚公告，公司近日与JEMSE（阿根廷胡胡伊省国家能源矿业公司）通过网络云签约方式签署了《关于在阿根廷开展锂矿业务合作的谅解备忘录》，双方决定就当地锂矿资源保障、碳酸锂精炼厂建设、下游业务拓展等方面展开全方位战略合作。

根据协议，国轩高科与JEMSE将合资在阿根廷胡胡伊省保税区兴建一座电池级碳酸锂精炼厂，JEMSE将提供勘查面积约17000公顷的潜在锂矿资源探矿及采矿权，保障资源供应。双方还将展开锂电产业下游业务合作，包括正极材料、电池制造等，共同开拓欧美市场。
